DECISION

ISSUING THE FORMS OF PAPERS ON VIETNAMESE NATIONALITY

THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No.38/CP of June 4, 1993 on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Justice;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No.104/1998/ND-CP of December 31, 1998 detailing and guiding the implementation of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality;
After consulting the Ministry for Foreign Affairs;
At the proposals of the Director of the Department for International Cooperation and the Director of the Department for Management of Notary Public, Judicial Expertise, Household Registration, Nationality and Judicial Records under the Ministry of Justice,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To issue together with this Decision 19 forms of papers for Vietnamese nationality naturalization, restoration, relinquishment and granting papers related to Vietnamese nationality (hereafter referred to as the forms of papers on Vietnamese nationality) which are listed and numbered in the list enclosed herewith.

Article 2.- The forms of papers on Vietnamese nationality specified in Article 1 of this Decision shall be uniformly used throughout the country and at the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad as from May 6, 1999 and replace the forms of papers on Vietnamese nationality, issued before this date.

Article 3.- The provincial/municipal Justice Services, the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad shall organize the printing of the forms of papers on Vietnamese nationality strictly according to the specifications and contents of the forms of papers on Vietnamese nationality, issued together with this Decision, thus fully satisfying the requirements of settling matters related to the Vietnamese nationality.

Article 5.- The printing and use of the forms of the Vietnamese nationality papers in contravention of the regulations in this Decision are strictly prohibited.

Article 6.- This Decision takes effect as from May 6, 1999.

Article 7.- The head of the Office, the director of the Department for International Cooperation, the director of the Department for Management of Notary Public, Judicial Expertise, Household Registration, Nationality and Judicial Records of the Ministry of Justice, the directors of the provincial/municipal Justice Services and the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam shall have to implement this Decision.
