RESOLUTION

ON THE LIST OF RURAL DISTRICTS, URBAN DISTRICTS AND WARDS OF PROVINCES AND CENTRALLY RUN CITIES WHERE THE TRIAL NON-ORGANIZATION OF PEOPLE'S COUNCILS OF RURAL DISTRICTS, URBAN DISTRICTS AND WARDS IS IMPLEMENTED

THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to the 1992 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which was amended and supplemented under Resolution No. 51/2001/ QH10;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 26/2008/QH12 of November 15. 2008. on trial non-organization of People s Councils of rural districts, urban districts and wards of the XIIth National Assembly at the 4,h session;
After considering the Government's Report No. 01/TTr-CP of January 2, 2009, on the National Assembly Standing Committee s draft resolution on the list of rural districts, urban districts and wards of provinces and centrally run cities where the trial non-organization of People's Councils of rural districts, urban districts and wards is implemented; and the National Assembly Law Committee's Verification Report No. 672/BC-U BP LI 2 of January 14. 2009;

RESOLVES:

Article 1. To implement the trial non-organization of People's Councils of rural districts, urban districts and wards in 67 rural districts, 32 urban districts and 483 wards of 10 provinces and centrally run cities as follows:

1. Lao Cai province

a/ Eight rural districts of Bao Thang, Bac Ha. Si Ma Cai, Muong Khuong, Bat Xat, Sa Pa, Van Ban and Bao Yen.

Lao Cai, Pho Moi. Coc Leu. Kim Tan. Bac Cuong, Duyen Hai, Bac Lenh. Pom Han, Xuan Tang, Thong Nhal, Binh Minh and Nam Cuong.

2. Vinh Phuc province

a/ Seven rural districts of Vinh Tuong, Yen Lac, Tarn Duong, Binh Xuyen, Lap Thach, Tarn Dao and Song Lo.

b/ Thirteen wards, including:

Hoi Hop. Dong Tarn. Tich Son, Ngo Quyen, Dong Da. Lien Bao and Khai Quang of Vinh Yen city;

Xuan Hoa, Dong Xuan, Hung Vuong, Trung Trac, Trung Nhi and Phuc Thang of Phuc Yen town.

3. Hai Phong city

a/ Seven rural districts of Thuy Nguyen. An Duong. An Lao. Kien Thuy. Tien Lang, Vinh Bao and Cat Hai.

b/ Seven urban districts and 70 wards, including:

10. Kien Giang province

a/ Eleven rural districts of An Minh, Chau Thanh, Vinh Thuan, Go Quao, Giong Rieng, Kien Hai, Phu Quoc, Tan Hiep. Hon Dat, An Bien and U Minh Thuong.

b/ Fifteen wards, including:

- Vinh Quang, Vinh Thanh Van, Vinh Loi, Vinh Hiep, Vinh Thong, An Binh. Vinh Lac, Rach Soi, Vinh Bao, An Hoa and Vinh Thanh of Rach Gia city;

Article 2.

1. Within the ambit of their tasks and powers, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front shall organize the implementation of this Resolution.

2. People's Councils and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities and People's Committees of rural districts, urban districts and wards named on the list prescribed in Article 1 shall implement this Resolution.

Article 3.

This Resolution takes effect on April 1. 2009.
