In furtherance of directives of National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in its meeting on 06/5/2020; In consideration of the fact that Covid-19 situation in Vietnam is under control and the risk of local transmission has decreased (no local cases over the last 20 days); In order to assist transport enterprises in rebooting their business operation while still protecting operators, attendants and passengers from Covid-19 infection, the Ministry of Transport hereby requests Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, Civil Aviation Authority, Vietnam Railway Administration, Vietnam Maritime Administration, Vietnam Inland Waterway Administration of Vietnam to inform transport enterprises that:

1. All regulations on social distancing on passenger transport vehicles (buses, taxis, passenger vehicles, trains, airplanes, ships, etc.) are annulled from 12 a.m. May 07, 2020.

2. Continue strict implementation of the following measures for prevention and control of COVID-19:

- Properly wear facemasks in public places (train, ferry, bus stations, etc.) and on vehicles throughout the trip;

- Make health declaration;

- Frequently wash hands with soap for sanitizer at least 60% ethanol;

- Have body temperature taken;

- Disinfect surfaces on the vehicle before and after every trip.
