b) Name and address of the responsible entity;

d) Quantity;

e) Date of manufacture;

f) Specifications: the text “Compatible with DVB-T2” must be shown apart from the mains specifications;

g) Safety warnings and information;

h) Instructions on use and preservation.

2. According to Article 6 of the Decree No. 89/2006/ND-CP, if all of the information mentioned above cannot be shown on the label:

a) The name of goods, the name of the responsible entity, the quantity, the manufacturing date, and goods origins must be shown on the label.  The text “Compatible with DVB-T2” must also be shown.

Besides, the instructions on how to use DVB-T2 function must also be shown in the manual and on the website of the company.

3. Labels shall be put on as follows:

Labels must be put on the goods or their packages in a way that all necessary information can be read without removing parts of the item.

II. Conformity marking:

DVB-T2 televisions and set top boxes must have declarations of conformity and bear the conformity marking before they are sold onto Vietnamese market.

The procedure for declaration of conformity and the use of the conformity marking are specified in chap III, Chapter IV, and Chapter V of the Circular No. 30/2011/TT-BTTTT dated October 31, 2011 of the Ministry of Information and Communications on certification of conformity and declaration of conformity  of information technology and telecommunications products.

According to Point d Section V/1 of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 2451/QD-TTg dated December 27, 2011 approval of the Scheme for Digital Television Broadcasting by 2020.

DVB-T2 televisions and set top boxes being sold in Vietnam must bear the Vietnam’s digital television symbol below:

The detailed designed of this symbol is provided in the Decision No. 205/2014/QD-BTTTT dated March 03, 2014 of the Minister of Information and Communications on approval of Vietnam’s digital television symbol. The digital television symbol may be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Information and Communications (www.mic.gov.vn) or provided at Information Center - Ministry of Information and Communications at 18 Nguyen Du Street, Hanoi (Tel: 04.35563460 or 04.35563457)

2. Positions of digital television symbol:

The digital television symbol may whether or not be printed on the label the product or its package. The symbol may be fixed on the front of the DVB-T2 television, the front or the top of the DVB-T2 set top box.

- DVB-T2 televisions and DVB-T2 set top boxes of importers or Vietnamese manufacturers must bear the digital television symbol from May 01, 2014;

- DVB-T2 televisions and DVB-T2 set top boxes being circulated on Vietnam’s market must bear the digital television symbol from June 15, 2014;

The difficulties that arise during the implementation of the aforesaid instructions should be reported to the Vietnam Telecommunications Authority.
