CONCLUSION OF DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER VO DUC DAM AT THE MEETING ON PLANS for REOPENING TOURISM

In the morning of February 15, 2022, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam chaired a meeting with ministries and central authorities on plans for reopening tourism in association with flexibility, safety and effective control of Covid-19 and gradual socio-economic recovery. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; senior representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government Office; representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Information and Communication. After listening to opinions of the participants, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam reached the following conclusions:

1. The Government concurs with the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and opinions of the ministries and authorities at the meeting on the time to reopen tourism in the new normal following the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister on "flexibility, safety, effective control of COVID-19" from March 15, 2022.

2. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall:

a) Take charge and cooperate with relevant ministries and authorities in unifying contents and process of reception of international tourists; complete and promptly publicize the plan for reopening tourism; provide detailed guidance on implementation of this plan for units and local authorities.

b) Work directly with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, relevant ministries and central authorities to promptly report in details on visa policies applicable to international tourists entering Vietnam to the Government and the Prime Minister.

Ministries, relevant authorities, the People's Committees of provinces and central-affiliated cities are responsible for the implementation of this document./.
