DECISION

ON THE ORGANIZATION OF VIETNAM FORESTRY DAY ON THE 28TH OF NOVEMBER EACH YEAR

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government on the 30th of September 1992;
In order to encourage the entire people and the cadres, employees and workers of the forestry branch; agencies, schools, armed forces... to bring into play the fine cultural tradition of the nation, to materialize the sacred teaching of President Ho Chi Minh on the 28th of November 1959 during the "Spring Tree Planting Festival" and to carry the forestry task;
At the proposal of the Minister of Forestry,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- From the year 1995, the 28th of November every year shall be observed as "Vietnam Forestry Day"

Article 2.- The organization of the "Vietnam Forestry Day" must achieve the following contents and requirements :

- To keep the entire people aware of the need to protect the forests and the environment; to deepen the love for the profession and the country among forestry cadres, employees and workers,

- To mobilize and organize all branches, associations and the various strata of the population to take concrete actions, build concrete constructions and other useful works as tribute to Uncle Ho; to commend and reward good individuals, deeds, localities and units,

- The organization of the "Vietnam Forestry Day" must be practical and effective, and avoid all ostentation and wastefulness in order to attain the above-said contents and requirements.

Article 3.- The Minister of Forestry shall guide the implementation of this Decision in accordance with the contents and requirements stated in Article 2.

Article 4.- The Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the Heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the Presidents of the People's Committees in the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government shall have to implement this Decision.
