"mã điểm báo hiệu quốc tế" được hiểu như sau:

29. Mã điểm báo hiệu quốc tế (International Signaling Point Code - ISPC) là mã định tuyến kỹ thuật được hình thành trên cơ sở mã mạng vùng báo hiệu theo cấu trúc chuẩn của khuyến nghị ITU-T Q.708 do Liên minh viễn thông quốc tế phân bổ cho Việt Nam, sử dụng để nhận biết một điểm báo hiệu (Signaling Point - SP) trong mạng báo hiệu quốc tế sử dụng hệ thống báo hiệu số 7 (Signaling System No.7 - SS7).
